Dentures can help you if you are missing a few to all of your teeth. Dentures come in two types. A partial denture replaces a few teeth and is held in by the remaining teeth. Metal bases and clasps are used for the connection and acrylic teeth are used to replace your missing teeth. A full denture is needed if you are missing all of your teeth. Complete dentures rest on your gum tissues and rely on suction to stay in. Both of these prostheses are removable, meaning there is no permanent connection and must be taken out at night to clean and allow the tissues time to breathe.
